To ascertain the sufficient infrastructure alongwith modern educational facilities in private colleges and universities in the state, Punjab government has decided to form Regulatory Commission, shortly.While presiding over a meeting of Vice Chancellors of Universities and Principals of Colleges of the State, Punjab Higher Education Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra said that main purpose to provide better infrastructure to the colleges  as well as the quality education to the students of the state.Rakhra said the proposed Regulatory commission would not only keep check on the available educational facilities and infrastructure  but also ascertain their proper functioning.The Minister said that government had issued Rs.2 crore grant to each and every govt. college in the state to raise the educational infrastructure there. He also announced to start English and Economics in this college from upcoming session.Vice Chancellors of Universities and Principals of Colleges of the State besides  Secretary, Higher Education Mr. K.A.P.Sinha and other senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
