Minister for Finance, Employment and Culture, Dr Haseeb Drabu Sunday urged employees working under centrally sponsored National Health Mission (NHM) to work with dedication “assuring that regularization of their services is already under consideration of the government”.As per a spokesman, a delegation of the employees’ association met with the Finance Minister here today and apprised him about the long pending demands of doctors, paramedics and managerial staff working on contract basis under the mission.

“The minister spoke to us in a cordial atmosphere and assured that a roadmap for absorption of the employees working under the mission is already being framed as part of the framework for phased regularization of all contractual, daily waged and need based employees”, the spokesman said, adding that “he said other issues like salary disparity and social security issues will also be taken care of in the upcoming annual plan of the mission”.Earlier, the delegation of the Association members had also met Minister of State for Health, Asiya Naqash and Mission Director, NHM, to apprise them about their grievances.“After meeting the ministers and officials, we are quite hopeful that our demands will be taken care of at an earliest”, the spokesman added and hailed them for sympathetic attitude towards issues related to the employees’ future.
