Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Power Development and Housing & Urban Development, Mohammad Ashraf Mir today visited various areas of Karan Nagar and Batmaloo.He was accompanied by Commissioner Srinagar Municipal committee, Joint Commissioner and various other officials.The Minister inspected various areas where illegal constructions have been raised and ordered the on spot demolition of these illegal constructions. He directed the officials to ensure demolition of all illegal constructions raised in different areas. He also directed SMC to expedite weekly inspections and stop illegal constructions.The Minister asked the general public to bring into notice the raising of illegal constructions wherever being raised, so that the concerned authorities initiate necessary proceedings and demolish them. He asked the people to get approval of concerned agencies before raising any construction.Various delegations called on the Minister and briefed him about various issues confronting them. He assured for the redressed of all the genuine demands.Meanwhile, the Minister directed the officials to ensure cleanliness of drains and lanes so that people don’t face any inconvenience.
