Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir, today convened a meeting of Revenue officers to review the functioning of the Revenue Department in district Ganderbal. District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat apprised the Minister about the status of developmental works in the district.ADC Ganderbal, ACR Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and Pathwaris of the District were present in the meeting.It was informed in the meeting that boards displaying Public Service Guarantee Act have been installed outside their respective offices. The Tehsildars also informed that anti-encroachment drives have been started in the district. The Minister stressed on officers to remove encroachments especially from Kah-charai and state land and expedite the process of anti encroachment drive. He passed instructions to Tehsildars to personally visit the field areas and redress complaints and grievances related to revenue matters and general problems of public as well.
The Minister instructed the Deputy Commissioner to issue a circular directing the Tehsildars to maintain movement and departure registers on daily basis in their offices. The patiwaris were directed to remain present in their respective patiwar khanas at least on two notified days in a week. The Minister warned that action will be taken against all the corrupt and incompetent officials. He also instructed revenue officials to work with zeal and dedication and to adopt procedure to bring transparency in the working of Revenue Department.Later the Minister accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner visited the Central University site where work on pre engineered buildings is in progress and interacted with the representatives of the construction agency there. The Minister was informed that the construction work on two blocks of the University will be completed before March, 2016. (GNS)
