Piyush Mishra, an eminent actor, music director, lyricist, singer, script - dialogue writer & a well-known theatre director, visited Dikshant International  School, Zirakpur.  Loved by the audience & critics for his  performances in ‘Maqbool’ & ‘Gulaal’ ,both as an actor as well as a Music Composer, Piyush Mishra interacted with the students and staff of the school, about various career options available in the Film Industry.Piyush talked about his journey into the world of acting and shared his valuable experiences of life, he talked about the important role that schooling can play in shaping one’s career, he also talked about his stint with National School of Drama, courses available at NSD & the role that theatre plays in making one confident & disciplined. He advised children on doing theatre at least for 2 years, as it would help them in whatever profession they pursue in future. 

The session was interactive with students and staff members asking questions off Piyush. On a special request from the students, he sung his compositions from ‘Gangs of Waseypur’ and ‘Gulaal’, which enthralled all.Mitul Dikshit,Director, Dikshant International School, said, “It gives me great pleasure to announce that Piyush Mishra would design the theatre curriculum of the school and has also agreed to join the governing board of the school.”On this occasion Piyush Mishra said, “It is a terrific moment for me to be in a school like Dikshant. I felt nostalgic as my own memories from school time got refreshed in my mind. I am happy to be a member of the governing body of Dikshant and to design the theatre curriculum for the students. The children in this school are very proactive and their intelligence is far ahead than the kids of our time.”
