“For bettering the standard of education in Punjab, foreign models would be adopted and very soon, to check the shortage of teachers in government schools, a large number of teachers would be recruited in the state.” This was said by Punjab Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema while speaking to media persons after inaugurating a multifaceted exhibition: Incredible India-A Dream Fulfilled at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, here today.While speaking to the media persons, the Education Minister said that for lifting standard of education in government schools, a large number of teachers would be recruited very soon, besides the Punjab government is also providing basic infrastructure. He said that formal approval regarding new recruitment has already been granted by the cabinet and within next one year, 1.14 lakh new jobs would be provided to the youth. And the recruitment process would be started soon, he said.He said that all students scoring more than 80 percent marks in class tenth are being provided free education in meritorious schools of the state and very soon, a meritorious school is coming up at Mukerian.

The exhibition at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School was inaugurated by Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema who was the Chief Guest for the occasion, it was presided over by Mr. Sushil Prabhakar, the Registrar of GADVASU. Mr Pardeep Kapoor, the District Science Supervisor of Ludhiana was the Guest of Honour.Dr. Cheema along with the other esteemed guests took a keen interest in viewing the exhibits and interacting with the students who exuded confidence while explaining to him the various projects and activities that were on display. Going through the exhibits the guests appreciated the students and the teachers for the effort taken.

The efforts of the Director Rev. Fr. John and the Principal Rev. Sr. Christo gave the students a platform to exhibit their talent and creativity that captivated the spectators and left them yearning for more. The exhibits included still models, working models and research base projects which were very innovative and relevant to today's times. To name a few, a clinometer, a probability wheel, the Indian architecture, working of the Banks, hydraulic city, anti-theft and fire prevention security system, robotics and many more.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mayor Mr Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, MLAs Mr Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Mr Darshan Singh Shivalik, Political Advisor to Deputy CM Mr Paramjit Singh Sidhwan, besides several others.
