Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today asked Deputy Commissioner Budgam to remove all the encroachments in Humhama area.The Commissioner issued the instructions after the residents from Friends Enclave Humhama apprised him with their issues during a meeting.Dr. Samoon asked Deputy Commissioner Budgam to clear all kinds of encroachments including those on Kahcharai land in the area. He also issued directions to the concerned officers to ensure installation of street lights and potable water to the area.Divisional Commissioner also asked the R&B department to take up the necessary repair work of the roads and lanes in the area.
Directors, Floriculture (Gardens and Parks) Kashmir, Executive Engineer, PWD (Road and Building) Division, Chadoora, and Regional Transport Officer Kashmir were present in the meeting. Later Divisional Commissioner also convened a meeting with officers to ensure smooth traffic in Srinagar city. The meeting was attended by SP South, Director Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) and Revenue officer SMC.Samoon discussed with the officers the ways to decongest the traffic at various junctions in the city. He gave certain specific directions to the officers for ensuring smooth traffic.
