GoI releases Rs. 28 crore for work on Nangal-Talwara rail line

Ministry of Railways, Government of India released Rs. 28 crore for carrying on further  work on Nangal-Talwara rail line beyond Amb in district Una. Disclosing this here today,Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries and Information & Public Relations Minister said that due to concerted efforts of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh, the Railway Ministry conceded to his requests and released the required amount for completion of the left out work, which was a long pending issue. He said that, earlier, the Union Railway Ministry was adamant for identifying government land for extending the railway network but since there was not enough government land, hence it was decided to provide adequate compensation to the people of the area whose land falls under the project.Shri Agnihotri said that the Chief Minister time and again met Union Minister of Railways Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leadership of Union Government to approve the funds for strengthening the Nangal-Talwara railway network. Industries Minister said that the matter pertaining to this issue was also raised in Council of Ministers meeting. He also thanked the Chief Minister for getting approved the required funds for the project and congratulated him for being successful in his efforts.
