Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS) train on the theme “Climate Change” reached Udhampur railway station on Tuesday morning where the Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta inaugurated the science Exhibition Pertinent to mention that the Science Express is a joint initiative of Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Railway (GOI) in partnership with Centre for Environment Education-Ahmedabad & Vikram A. Sarabhai Community Science Centre Highlighting the aim of the Science Express, Minister said that the train is designed to exhibit how climate change can be combated through mitigation and adaptation. He hoped that the exhibition on wheels would go a long way to create awareness among the various stakeholders especially the students. He called upon the students to spread awareness about environment conservation so that the dangers of climate change would be minimized.The Minister directed Chief Education Officer to give maximum exposure to the students to disseminate awareness about the issue.Later, the Minister also had a round of the exhibition.
