The Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today reiterated his resolve to expose the anti-sikh and anti-national forces behind the recent incidents of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as well as those who were launching vicious attacks on Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and tenets of Sikhism.Addressing a meeting of Akali workers at Gurudwara Nankana Sahib, the Deputy Chief Minister further said the main motive behind involving the CBI in this case was to get to the root cause of the problem. Coming down heavily on such anti-national forces, S. Badal said that these forces have an agenda which is inimical to the social fabric of the state and their aim is to create an atmosphere of terror in the state by orchestrating such incidents. Lashing out at the Congress party, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Congress Party, which attacked Sri Darbar Sahib in 1984 and reduced Sri Akal Takht Sahib to rubble, murdered uncountable innocent pilgrims and killed innocent Sikhs in the aftermath of the assassination of Indira Gandhi, is now desperate to come back in political mainstream by resorting to methods which endanger the security and atmosphere of peace in the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the Congress during the earlier period conspired to make Punjab economically and politically weak through it’s pawns Giani Zail Singh and Darbara Singh and now it is using Captain Amarinder Singh and Partap Singh Bajwa to fulfill its narrow ends. He disclosed that it has now been proven that the recent so called congregation of sarbat Khalsa was also held with the blessings of Congress. The Deputy Chief Minister further said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is the second oldest party in the country and has fought for and would continue to fight for the Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat during its existence of 95 years. Warning against the harassing of Akali workers, S. Badal said also that he would not allow the anti-Punjab forces to raise their ugly head in the state and also that he is ready to make any sacrifice to keep the integrity of the nation and Punjab intact.S. Badal also informed that the political opponents of the government are hand in glove with all such anti-national elements and masterminding such incidents because they are afraid of the wave in favour of the SAD in the run up to the coming 2017 assembly elections. He said the resilient party workers would not allow the nefarious designs of such forces to succeed.S. Badal also said SAD  would organize Sadbhavna rallies in 3 districts of the state in accordance with which, the rally covering Sangrur, Barnala and Moga would be held on 28thNovember at Moga in which the workers and common people would participate with renewed vigour to display and strengthen the spirit of unity.

The Deputy Chief Minister said SAD had taken numerous measures for e.g.---- 24 hour power supply, free power to the farmers, atta dal scheme, shagun scheme, old age pension and other relief schemes, under the able leadership of Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal. He said the other parties could not even think of doing and achieving what the present dispensation had done for the people. He said the rapid progress made by the state has sent shivers down the spine of anti-national forces who again want to throw the state back into the decade of  terrorism and turmoil like they did 30 years back. He added that the very same people who brandished swords at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and used foul language, are now clamouring for the Sikh maryada and people like Amarinder Singh who are not accessible even to their own party MLAs and leaders, are now advising Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal to venture out into the public.

Addressing on this occasion, Secretary General S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa welcomed the Party President on his visit to the district. Challenging the Congress to face SAD in political arena, he warned the  Congress party not to disturb the hard earned peace in the state. He said the SAD was a party whose workers and leaders had spent many years behind the bars fighting for the just causes of Punjab. On this occasion, Finance Minister, Punjab, S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa exhorted the people to beware of anti-Punjab conspiracies of the forces jealous of the progress of the state and appealed to them to participate in Moga rally of 28thNovember with zest and pride.Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Prakash Chand Garg, Sant Balbir Singh Ghunnas , MLA Gobind Singh Longowal, Iqbal Singh Jhoonda, Vice Chairman Mandi Board Ravinder Singh Cheema, Akali leader Izhar Alam and Former Minister Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
