On the directions of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash Saturday conducted extensive tour of various city hospitals and took stock of the facilities available there for the patients.Ms. Asiea visited SMHS hospital and inspected various wards besides OPD and emergency blocks and enquired about the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients. She interacted with the patients and assured them all necessary diagnostic and healthcare facilities will be provided on priority. She exhorted upon the hospital authorities to ensure better patient care and treatment to patients besides ensuring availability of doctors and paramedical staff round the clock in the hospital. She also stressed for ensuring proper dress code and punctuality of staff so that patients coming from far flung areas do not face any difficulty for want of patient care.
Ms. Asiea also visited Mental and Neuroscience Hospital Kathi Darwaza and inspected various wards, OPD and ECT Theatre and directed the hospital administration to take measures for appropriate heating system in the hospital so that patients admitted in the hospital do not face any difficulty in ensuing winter season.She got appraisal about the dietary supplies being provided to patients in the hospital and stressed for ensuring proper hygiene there.Ms. Asiea also inspected execution work of additional block of the hospital being constructed by JKPCC and urged upon the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of work on the project so that it is completed in stipulated time.Meanwhile, a deputation from Kathi Darwaza met the Minister and demanded widening of road through Kathidarwaza so that vehicular rush and traffic jamming on the road is reduced. The Minister gave patient hearing to the people and assured them that their demand would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early mitigation.
