Minister of State for Housing, Urban Development and Power Mohammad Ashraf Mir today conducted an extensive tour of Khimber in Sonwar constituency and took stock of various ongoing developmental projects.He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development PDD besides officers of various departments.During his visit, the Minister laid foundation stone of a stadium at Khimber for which Rs 10 lakh have been released so for. On the occasion, he highlighted the importance of Sports activities.The Minister directed the officials to identify land for construction of marriage hall, health Centre and a Community Facilitation Centre for the benefit of local people.The Minister also inaugurated an ambulance equipped with latest health care facilities for the patients which has been donated by a non-governmental organization.The Minister said that a tourist spot will be identified, so that unemployed youth earn their livelihood.During his tour various delegations met the Minister and apprised him about the issues confronting them. He assured them that all genuine issues would be redressed on priority.
