Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta inaugurated today Diwali Trade Fair cum Exhibition here at an impressive function here at Town Hall, Udhampur.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that such events not only generate employment but also give an alternate to the people for shopping and spend some time with their families. The Minister went around all the stalls and inspected the goods displayed by the traders at the Trade Fair. He evinced keen interest and appreciated the efforts of the organizers for organizing such a big business fair in the heart of Udhampur town. He also exhorted upon them to organize more such events in future also.The items displayed in the trade fair were crockery, kitchenware items, footwear, bamboo furniture readymade garments, toys, lady’s suit, sweaters, jackets, gift items, roti maker, melamine crockery, food stalls, amusement items for kids etc.Earlier, Sachin Sharma, on behalf of event organizers, briefed the Minister about various commodities displayed in the trade fair by the traders from various parts of the country as well as state.
