Governor Acharya Devvrat urged the young generation to come forward to work for removing social evils from the society and take the responsibility of building a strong and healthy nation. He was speaking in the Annual Function of Dayanand Bhartiya Public Senior Secondary School at Jogindernagar in district Mandi today.He said that youth should associate themselves with constructive activities and realise the importance of hard work in life which alone leads to success. He called upon the young generation to stay away from drugs and adopt healthy lifestyle focussed upon growth and development. Governor said that primary objective of education was instilling human values among children and added that huge responsibility rested on the shoulders of teachers who carried out the most important task of nation building. He said that teachers should be sincere towards their responsibilities and values like discipline, patriotism, spirit of service, respecting teachers and elders should be integral part of the curriculum. Education should aim at complete development of students equipping them with knowledge and qualities to face toughest challenges of life, he said.
He underlined the need to uphold our traditions and added that children should be made aware of our rich values and cultural heritage which was known across the world. He said that besides the knowledge of Science and Technology, students should be well versed with our glorious history and be proud of the country.Lauding the contribution of Rishi Dayanand, Acharya Devvrat said that he not only revived the glory of our rich culture but also laid foundation for removing social evils from the society. He said that girl's education and upliftment of women were also the main focus areas of Rishi Dayanand.
