Jagpal Singh Sandhu, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) was today elected as President of Punjab State IAS officers’ Association for 2015-16 with a thumping majority. He was greeted on his election by a large number of IAS officers. The Chief Secretary, Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal presented a bouquet to the newly elected President. Mr. Viswajeet Khanna was elected as the Senior Vice President of the Association and Mr. Anirudh Tewari was elected as the Vice President of the Association.On his election as President, Mr. Jagpal Singh Sandhu said that he will shortly announce his executive and it will be his earnest endeavour to promote the spirit of fraternity and synergize individual talent into collective all round versatility of the cadre. Mr Sandhu further thanked the cadre for reposing absolute faith in him by giving him an opportunity to look after the organization and its members and to revive the glorious traditions of the association.
