Minister for Revenue Mr.Javid Mustafa Mir today convened a high level meeting of engineers of Power Development Department including Commissioner /Secretary PDD Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineers and other concerned officers to review the power scenario in the Chadoora Constituency of Budgam district.The meeting held threadbare discussion to streamline the power system in the area and made on spot decisions to overcome the bottlenecks.The meeting reviewed the pace of construction of Grid Station at Nowbugh,Chadoora coming up at a cost of Rs.33.86 crore.
The Minister directed the concerned engineers to speed up the construction work and gave two year time line for completion of the project.
The minister also directed for augmentation of Receiving Station at Khanda to ensure the uninterrupted power supply in the area.The Chief Engineer Power, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan informed the Minister that Rs. One crore is being spent under State Sector in the district to streamline the power system in district Budgam The minister stressed upon the engineers to strictly adhere to power schedule so that there would be no confusion among the consumers with regard to supply and distribution of power supply .He also directed them to stabilize the supply of power and also rationalize it in the rural and urban areas.
