Deputy Chairman of J&K Legislative Council, Jahangir Hussain Mir today inaugurated Smart Class at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal.The newly inaugurated classroom will have audio-visual aids, internet, computers and other e-tools for conducting lectures. The Deputy Chairman provided Rs. 1.00 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for necessary e-infrastructure including projector and audio-visual tools.Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Chairman said that the positive use of such aids can bring tremendous flow of knowledge for the students to achieve their goals. He said teaching should be made more interactive and must utilize the latest technology with which students are already well conversant with.Mir urged the faculty to bring back the focus of teaching on students and make the class room environment truly interactive.The Deputy Chairman also inspected the school building and directed the Executive Engineer to immediately take up necessary repair work. While inspecting library, laboratories and sport section he stressed for up-gradation.Principal, Riaz Mir thanked the Deputy Chairman for his valuable suggestions, guidance and his continued cooperation to the institution. Executive Engineer R&B, Mushtaq Raina, Haroon Rathore besides faculty members of GHSS Sheesh Mahal were also present on the occasion.
