Festival of marking the victory of good over evil was celebrated today with religious fervour and gaiety in Bari Brahmna where the effigies Ravan, Kumbkaran and Megnath were consigned to flames.A function was organized by Social Youth Club where the Minister for Industries & Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga was the chief guest.Addressing the function, the Minister said that the festival reminds us that those who follow the path of virtue, goodness and honesty will always emerge victorious. May this year's Dussehra inspire us to remain committed in the pursuit of our principles like Lord Rama," he added. He further said that the festival of Dussehra is an occasion for us to renew our resolve to discharge our duties and responsibilities with commitment and sincerity.The Minister greeted the people on the occasion and said that the Dussehra marks the victory of the forces of good over evil and fills the people with the spirit of brotherhood and amity.Ganga appreciated the efforts of Social Youth Club for organizing the function in Bari Brahmana after 19 years.A Jhanki was also taken out from the town and after passing through bazar it culminated in the ground premises where the effigy of Ravan was torched.
