To involve jail inmates into recreational activities and provide them a different environment from their usual routine, a cultural programme was today organised at District Jail, Rajouri by District Information Centre, Rajouri.This programme was attended by Sanjeev Kumar, Superintendent District Jail, Rajouri , Mohammad Sagir, BDO Darhal besides cultural artists from information department. Jail staff along with jail inmates also participated in the function.Superintendent District Jail, Rajouri in his address thanked the information department for organising such a ‘wonderful cultural programme.’ He said that such programme act as stress reliever and create an enjoyable environment for the jail inmates. He also requested information department for organising more such entertainment oriented functions in jail.The jail inmates also displayed their talent in singing, dancing and poetry recitation. They expressed their hope and keenness to have more such programmes in future.
