Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, the Governor of Punjab and Haryana today inaugurated the Aryans Tech Fest at Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. Speaking on the occasion the governor felt the need to set up a Regulatory board on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the state of Punjab too in order to provide better  infrastructure and skill based quality education to the students which would help in creating balanced growth in colleges and universities.Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab was the Guest of Honour on the occasion while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.

More than 200 schools displayed science projects featuring their innovative ideas and creativity in Science Fest. The fest included Agro fest, science fest, robo fest, solar fest, IT Fest, Aero fest, Game fest, Industrial Training fest, bike stunt, book fest, food fest etc. More than 70 companies participated in the first day of the fest.Appreciating the initiative of Aryans Group to set up their campus in rural and remote area Prof. Solanki said that students of this Institution are from different states of the country. They are lucky that they are getting higher technical and professional education from the college which is being run by a family of educationists. The Governor further said that Prime Minister of India has initiated programmes like Digital India, Skill India and Make in India and the youth have to play a significant role to materialize these programmes. He said that he is confident that youth would succeed in making India one of the leading countries of the world in 21st century.

Dr. Cheema appreciated the initiative taken by the college to promote technical and innovative ideas of school students through their projects and models.He further said that a skilled nation is the backbone for realizing the Make in India Vision and Transforming India into a manufacturing leader.Dr. Cheema further said that to reduce the gap of unemployment Punjab Government has created 12000 new vacancies in the education sector as 3700 in primary structure and 7000-8000 in secondary sectors for which the project would start within 3-4 months.Mr. Anil Bansal, Prof. Roshan Lal Kataria, Mrs Rajni Kataria, Dr. Parveen Kataria, Prof. A.P Jain, Prof. B.S Sidhu, Dr. Manjula Kataria, SP Sharanjit Singh etc were also present on the occasion.
