A delegation of All India Fair Price Retailers Federation (AIFPRF), led by its Working President, Mr. Prahlad Modi, called on the Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh here the other day.The Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister of State for Information and Education, Mrs. Priya Sethi, Member Parliament Mr  Jugal Kishore and several legislators were present on the occasion.The delegation comprising Mr. Himat Bhai Patel, Mr. Girish Juyal, Mr. Avey Gupta, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan and Mr. Abdul Rahim Shah informed the Dy Chief Minister about issues relating to the infrastructure and functioning of the Fair Price Shops in J&K.

The Dy Chief Minister was also apprised about the difficulties being faced by the Depot holders and retailers with regard to the distribution of fair price commodities to the entitled public.The delegation demanded that the State Government should take time-bound action to remedy the serious problems relating to the functioning of Fair price Shops and to alleviate the lot of those who run them.While interacting with the deputation, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them of the early redress of the problems being faced by them by taking up them with the concerned.
