Terming Omar Abdullah led coalition regime as total failure on all front, People Democratic Party (PDP) today said that during the last five years this regime has done nothing except taking anti-people steps for its survival.Addressing series of public meetings at Lalyal camp and Tatyal areas of Marh Assembly segment, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, MLC regretted that this belt has huge potential of agricultural potential but it was failure on the part of state government that potential of this belt was not properly explored.He mentioned that this belt is known for growing vegetable but authorities have failed to properly utilized potential of this belt due to prevailing adhocism in the administration and the government. “Omar Abdullah led government lacks vision to improve socio-economic conditions of the people”, he said and emphasized on the need of starting cooperative movement in this belt so that vegetable growers of this belt would get maximum benefit of the their products. “PDP would formulate a comprehensive policy for vegetable growers of Marh and adjoining areas”, he assured and said that PDP has a vision for inclusive growth and development of all sections of the society.
Sharma reminded the gathering that during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed a comprehensive policy was formulated for the socio-economic growth of all sections of the society. He informed the people that horticulture and agriculture were priority areas during the regime of PDP led government. “Legalizing corruption is the only noticeable achievement of the present government”, he said and pointed out during the last five years first and foremost agenda of this government remained as “how to survive?”Speaking on the occasion, former MLC Ved Mahajan lambasted Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for adopting causal approach towards problems of common masses. He said that all sections of the society were bearing brunt of the wrong policies of Omar Abdullah government but residents of rural areas were burst victims.Jagjit Singh Jagga, Suram Singh district president, Deepinder Kour, Haji Taj Khan, Vikram Singh, Roshan Lal, Rashpal Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
