To strengthen the party at grass root level and to interact with the retired and working teachers, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Teacher Cell organized an impressive programme at Mahajan Hall, Jammu. The programme was held under the leadership of State Convenor of Cell Om Prakash Gupta. National Convenor of Teachers Cell, Narendra Singh was called upon to grace the occasion. Singh was also accompanied by State BJP General Secretary(Org.) Ashok Koul and State BJP Incharge Cells Sat Sharma (CA).

Addressing the participants Narendra Singh said that teachers have a great role to play in strengthening the mindset of youth. He said that teachers are not just limited to schools but also have a vital role in building the future of nation. He also stressed upon more and more interactions with the educated class so that people in majority could understand the real ideologue of Bharatiya Janata Party and the role it has been playing for the Teacher fraternity. Singh also focussed upon the upcoming General Elections in 2014 and explained them that how Teachers are helpful in strengthening the roots of the party.

Referring to the statement by APJ Abdul Kalam for teachers, Ashok Koul said that besides mother at home, it is the teacher who can build a constructive mind of a child which can further be helpful in building a great nation and BJP’s Vision Document also shows that Teachers have a vital part to play in improving the nations prosperity. Koul also applauded the effective working of other cells including Teachers Cell in the State and appreciated the participants for showing their dedication towards BJP’s campaign for building a peaceful and prosperous nation.

Sat Sharma (CA) said that teachers are more than just inpiduals who instruct others about a particular subject. He also said that they are people who change lives and inspire us to do great things. Sharma also stated that educators ignite a fire of interest in a particular field of study, they can encourage a talent and they help in crafting that talent and they could be of great moral support in our lives.Raj Kumar Sharma presented  vote of thanks in the meeting.Prominent among those present in the meeting were  Subash Gupta, Sham Lal Sharma, Natha Ram Gupta, Bhushan Verma, Jaswant Singh, Gopal Sharma, Chander Mohan Gupta, Nikhil Singh Jamwal, Munish Sharma, Abhishek Singh Manhas, Rohit Bawa and others.
