Sikander Singh Maluka, President Punjab Kabaddi Federation and Education Minister Punjab today reiterated the commitment of SAD-BJP Government for inclusion of Punjab’s mother sport Circle style Kabaddi in Asian Games as well as Olympics.Presiding over the final of women category and matches for third positions in men category here at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Mr. Maluka said that it was the result of efforts being made by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal under the dynamic leadership of Punjab CM Mr. Parkash Singh Badal that Kabaddi touches new heights on the world sports map. He said that Punjab would soon send a case to Union Sports Ministry for getting reorganization to Circle Style Kabaddi on national level. Maluka said that fifth edition of World Cup Kabaddi would witness more teams from various corners of the world as the Punjab Government has received requests from various countries to provide kabaddi coaches. He said besides Kabaddi, a special attention would be given to uplift the standard of national sports Hockey and to regain the lost glory of this sport. He said this world cup kabaddi was successfully going on and it was completely drug free edition since all the players were playing after dope test.Giving information regarding the visit of Pakistan Punjab’s Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Mr. Maluka said that they will hold a talk with Mr. Sharif for organizing next edition of World Cup Kabaddi in Pakistan.
