Describing India's alleged hand in terrorist acts in Pakistan a "serious matter", Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said his country had shared "credible evidence" with other countries.Sharif was speaking to the media here before departing for Pakistan. He reached London after speaking at the UN General Assembly. The prime minister urged India to stop "the proxy war" against Pakistan because he said it won't serve anyone’s purpose and won't lead to anything good, the Pakistani media reported.

Sharif said the only way forward in India-Pakistan relations was the "way... suggested by us".Sharif said he believed the two countries needed to adopt a balanced approach on all issues as hostility spread over decades had not produced any positive results. He said tensions between India and Pakistan had impacted the good relations between the two countries and damaged socio-economic prospects of the two countries.Sooner or later, India would have to come round to the Pakistani point of view which calls for resolution of all issues through dialogue, he said.
