A joint meeting of the representatives of various fertilizer companies and wholesale fertilizer dealers was held under the chairmanship of Director Agriculture, Kashmir Altaf Aijaz Andrabi to review Mobile Fertilizer Monitoring System (mFMS) and supply/ availability of chemical fertilizers in Kashmir Division. The Director Agri impressed upon the companies and dealers that they should stock fertilizers for the Rabi season, for crops like oil seed, fodder, wheat, vegetables and pulse crops. He said that there should be uniform distribution of fertilizers among the dealers, so that the stocks are available to the farmers at their door steps. The meeting was informed that 1733.80 Mts of Urea, 669 Mts of DAP, 3643 Mts of MOP & 641.50 Mts of NPK are available in Kashmir Division for Rabi crops. The owners of the companies requested the Director Agriculture for taking up the matter of increasing the number of Rack points, as there is only one rack point available in the valley.
