The home ministry plans to provide advance training to private security guards, who provide security to critical establishments in all parts of the country, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday."Presently, around 50 lakh private security guards are providing round-the-clock security to corporate offices. The government is serious to work in tandem with the private security agencies," the minister said while addressing an annual conference of the International Institute of Security and Safety Management here.On the occasion, Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said his ministry was of the view that workers should be given fair wages.

"We think beyond the minimum wages formula for them. We are working overtime to simply the labour laws. The idea is to make it more employers and employees friendly," he said.He said the government was aware that private security was the fastest growing industry in the service sector, employing over 60 lakh people who are mostly poor and from the deprived section of the society.Rajnath Singh also expressed concern over anti-national elements involved in cyber crimes against India."It is important to repulse the nefarious designs of all those who are behind it," he said.
