The Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir Saturday said that Government is giving focused attention towards agriculture sector for improving socio-economic conditions of the farmers of the State.The Minister was addressing a one day training programme, organized by Department of Agriculture at Pattan today. He asked the farming community to make use of latest technology for producing more production in smaller areas of land to control the unemployment crisis in the State. He said that the Government is making all out efforts to increase the production of vegetables besides provides technical knowhow for using insecticides and fertilizers by the farmers.The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Peerzada Mushtaq, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, experts of SKUAST Kashmir and large number of farmers attended the programme.Earlier, the experts of the SKUAST Kashmir provided significant awareness about the increase of production and also about the control of diseases affecting crops.
