To ensure speedy completion of developmental projects under provide basic amenities to the people of Eidgah Constituency, the Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mubarak Gul convened a meeting of concerned officers here today.Gul urged the officers to expedite to work on under construction developmental projects so that benefits of the same could accrue to the people of the Constituency.The Speaker was informed that an amount of Rs. 3.31 crore are being expended on renovation and earth filling of Eidgah. He was also informed that the project is nearing completion.It was given out that work on old age home at Eidgah is going on at a cost of Rs. 4 crore. He was informed that an amount of Rs. 3 crore are being spent on Palapora bridge out of which Rs. 2 crores have been expended so far on the project. He was also informed that work on Primary Health Centre in Eidgah area is apace at Rs. 1.96 crore.
Reviewing the developmental projects under Irrigation Sector, Mr. Gul was told that Rs. 70 lakhs are being spent on flood channel and culvert in Noor Bagh area, out of which Rs. 35 lakhs have already been expended. He was also informed that work on Goripora Pump Station is apace at a cost of Rs. 66 lakhs besides work on flood channel and culvert in Choonchah Faqir is apace at a cost of Rs. 15 lakhs.
he Speaker was also informed that Irrigation department is expending Rs. 20 lakh on Crashabal Pump Station and a Park. During the meeting, the Speaker announced release of Rs. 20 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund to upgrade the electricity infrastructure.
He urged the officers of SMC and UEED to make arrangements for augmenting sewerage and drainage system in the Eidgah Constituency. He asked the concerned officers to install street lights and high mass lights in the Constituency besides replacing dilapidated electric poles and cables.
