Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today categorically said that after suffering decade long indifferent attitude of Congress rule at Center, now, Punjab is being receiving special attention from NDA government.Thanking NDA rule for paying special heed to Punjab, Mr. Majithia also urged the Center to resolve the issues pertaining to Punjab peasantry. He said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi should intervene into the issues of farmers by putting these in priority list. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal was in constant with Center over these issues and hopes that a positive outcome will witness soon.Interacting with media persons after paying obeisance at Dera Baba Sahlo Ji here on the eve of congregation, Mr. Majithia said that deliberate discrimination had been meted out with Punjab by the Congress Party for a long time but with the complete decimation of this anti-Punjab party, the state is going to usher in new era of development. He said that NDA rule at Center had included Punjab in the list of various big ticket projects announced during its one year rule.
He said that it was only NDA, which announced IIM, AIIMS for Punjab besides announcing Heritage City status for Amritsar.Accusing Congress Party for deliberate discrimination meted out with Punjab, Mr. Majithia said that Punjabis will not spare it. He said that it will have to face the wrath of Punjabis in 2017 as the electorates were ready to teach it a lesson again. He said that the days were not far when Punjab witness development with higher scales.Giving a call to Punjabi fraternity to launch a unified war against social menaces, Mr. Majithia said that we all should come forward and launch a concerted a unified drive against the social evils for the formation of healthy society.Earlier the Minister also participated in massive congregation at the Bhai Sahlo Dera and extended felicitated followers of Bhai Sahlo ji on this pious occasion.
