In view of Dengue fever, Mr Rajesh Bagha, Chairman, Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, has written to the Punjab Education department to educate the students about this fever. Mr Bagha has directed the education department officials to educate the students about ways to prevent dengue fever during their morning assemblies. He also said that the education department officials should suggest the children to wear full sleeve shirts while going to school.While speaking to media persons while attending a Shobha Yatra organised by Shri Ganpati Mahotsava Committee, Chowk Lakkar Bazaar in the city, Mr Rajesh Bagha said that children are more prone to Dengue fever because they have less resistance to such diseases as compared to adults.
Mr Rajesh Bagha had also visited Dengue patients at Khanna yesterday and had directed the authorities to make sure collective effort is made in this regard. He directed school heads to educate the students about ways to prevent dengue fever during their morning assemblies.He also asked all government departments to make collective efforts so that we can keep the spread of Dengue fever under control. He has also directed all the Senior Medical Officers to keep a close watch on all Dengue patients in their respective areas.Prominent among those present on the occasion included BJP District President Parveen Bansal, Mr Banwari Lal Chauhan, Mr Vijay Sehjal, Mr Raj Kumar Happy, Mr Rohit Sonkar, besides several others.
