Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting to review status of physical and financial achievements registered so far under the district plan.The meeting deliberated upon the actions being taken on the decisions taken in the District Development Board meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister in the month of July.In the meeting performance of PDD, PHE, Irrigation, PWD, Horticulture, Agriculture, Floriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Handloom, Handicraft, Revenue, Social Welfare, Labour, Urban Local bodies, Municipality and all other important departments was reviewed.
The DC directed all the concerned departments to keep their activities at maximum and activate their men and machinery for timely implementation of decisions taken in the District Development Board meeting so that the developmental projects are completed in stipulated time frame.He asked the officers to speed up development works and optimally utilize funds meant for developmental activities being executed in their respective departments.Regarding implementation of the Capex Budget, 2015-16, it was informed that out of the 75% release of the Capex Budget (Regular Schemes/State Share for CSS), 30% expenditure stands incurred upto 20th of September, 2015.DDC has directed all the executive agencies to speed up the implementation/execution of the schemes being approved in the DDB, meeting, in order to achieve 100% utilization of funds allocated in the Capex Budget 2015-16.
