A week long Cleanliness Week would be celebrated across the State from 25th September to 2nd October.The decision was taken today in a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh.The meeting was attended by senior officers of Housing & Urban Development Department and allied departments.The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Cleanliness Week would go a long way in inculcating the sense of having clean and pollution free environment in the State. He said that the scheme envisaged by the Prime Minister would be instrumental in promoting the hygiene and also the importance of having clean environment and surroundings.Dr. Singh appealed people, students, colleges, NGOs to participate actively in the activities to be undertaken during the week to make it a success.
