The very news is evident that the audience of Punjabi films is looking for something new, something different. Action packed multi-starrer family drama ‘Shareek’ has hit the social networking and entertainment website YouTube.com with its first trailer and has got nearly 1.2 lakh views in less than 24 hours. The film is a presentation of Ohri Productions Pvt. Ltd. and Gilco & Green Planet Production. It stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahi Gill, Guggu Gill, Mukul Dev, Kuljinder Singh Sidhu, Prince KJ Singh and Hobby Dhaliwal. Newcomers Simar Gill and Oshin Sai are debuting in acting with this flick. Navaniat Singh has directed the film and the producers are Vivek Ohri, R.S. Gill, P.P Saini and K.S. Saini.
The story is based on a family which gets divided over the issue of land. Many events follow and the feeling of envy deepens. Director Navaniat Singh told, “Our writer Dheeraj Rattan is a gem. He has written the story so beautifully and we have worked really hard on the canvas of the film. We are glad to know that our trailer is being sought out so much on YouTube and we are now more confident with our project.”Producers of the film said that we’ve been experiencing this industry since long and we put our souls in every department of this film. Our writer, director and all the actors make a wonderful team and we were not at all skeptical to make this film. The film was well planned and it will come out very differently and will touch new dimensions in Punjabi cinema.The trailer of the film looks promising and the performances by all the actors look pretty strong. Also it has all seasonal actors of the industry and the canvas looks very strong. Also because the story comes from a typical village of Punjab, most of the audiences will relate to the characters well. The film opens on Dusshehra day i.e. 22nd October, 2015 which is not a Friday but a Thursday.
