A meeting of senior officers and the representatives of various trade associations was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora today.The meeting was convened to ensure smooth supply of essentials including water supply, healthcare, power supply and transport facilities to the people on the occasion of Eid Ul Azha.Deputy Commissioner directed officers concerned to ensure provision of all such facilities to the people. He asked Municipality authorities to ensure cleanliness around Eidgahs and Mosques in the district. While taking a review of mutton, chicken, eggs, milk and vegetables rates, the Deputy Commissioner stressed on market checking and strict implementation of fixed rates.It was given out in the meeting that rice is being distributed in the district as per census 2011 and for the current month 21140 quintals of rice have been stored in the outlets, while as 90 percent of the quota stand distributed so far.Moreover, 1827 quintals of sugar, 1.44 KLtrs of kerosene oil besides 14500 LPG cylinders have been distributed so far this month in Bandipora and Sonawari.Among others, SDM Sonawari and CPO Bandipora were also present.
