Minister for Rural development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq today laid foundation stone of Rangwara Irrigation Storage Tank in Lalpora area of Lolab. The storage tank shall be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 4.54 Crore and will irrigate agricultural land spread across 6 villages.Addressing a large public gathering after the foundation laying ceremony, the Minister highlighted the various developmental and welfare measures initiated by the Government since taking over in March this year.Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Mr .K.R.Ranjan, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Kashmir, officers of district administration, PRIs representatives and locals were present on the occasion,Later, the Minister also visited Government Higher Secondary School, Lalpora and PHC, Lalpora. He said the school shall be developed as a Model Higher Secondary. He also urged the Staff of PHC, Lalpora to provide best Medicare to patients visiting the Hospital.He said Government is also working to improve road connectivity and augment potable water supply and electricity besides other basic amenities in Lolab constituency.
