Acharya DevVrat, Hon'ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh today urged everyone to work towards building a society which is free from all kinds of social evils. He also said that the standard of education should be lifted and all teachers should play a positive role in the lives of every student.The Hon'ble Governor was in city to attend a function organised by DAV Public School in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar area of the city today. He was the chief guest on the occasion.While addressing the gathering, Acharya Dev Vrat said that education plays a crucial role in every person's life. He said that these days, our youngsters are falling prey to social evils such as drugs.
He said that all of us should contribute in building such a society which is free from all kinds of social evils.Sharing his life experiences with the audience comprising students and their parents, Acharya Dev Vrat said that for the last more than three decades, he himself have been a teacher. He said that being the Governor of 'Dev Bhoomi' Himachal Pradesh, his main focus would be to raise the standard of education and healthcare facilities there. He said that his aim is to make Himachal Pradesh the number one state in the country.The Hon'ble Governor was also honoured on the occasion.
