Minister of State for Power, Industries & Commerce, Housing and Urban Development, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, who is also the Chairman of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (Patient Welfare Committee) of Primary Health Centre Nishat, Tuesday chaired a meeting of the governing body of the committee.Deputy Chief Medical Officer Srinagar Dr Zahida, Block Medical Officer Dr Talat, Zonal Medical Officer, Dr Nighat and Zonal Medical Officer Nishat Dr Masrat besides members of civil society were also present. Deliberations were held on the requirements of the health centre and its affiliated units. The Minister issued on the spot directions to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar to provide the required equipment available in the department store to the PHC immediately. He said the equipment not available with the department shall be purchased within this financial year.Responding to the demand of the locals for making PHC operational round the clock, the Minister said that he shall take up the matter with the concerned department for consideration. He said requisite staff will also be deployed to the Health centre.
